Why would anyone think Arya was Azor Ahai?

Because the prophecy said Azor Ahai would defeat the darkness

HBO has a 41 minute special on the making of the episode. Holy shite does it make you appreciate what all went into making the Battle of Winterfell.

Everyone involved in production said how much they hated making it lol

Rewatched last night with different setting on tv. Stream also didn’t seem nearly compressed so it was more enjoyable in a visual sense. But godamn the Brienne, Jaime,Tormund, Pod group should’ve suffered some kind of loss with the way they were engulfed. If you don’t want to kill them that’s fine...just don’t have them up to their eyeballs in attacking undead that are pinning them down. Sam living is inexcusable with the danger his weak character was constantly in.

My only complaint is not allowing Theon to scream his family’s creed as he charged the NK. If ever there was a time and a place for it, that was it. frick how’d they miss that?!?!?

Damn good idea!

WE DO NOT SOW

Or...

WINTERFELL

Although, I kind of liked the music without the dialog. I thought that worked very well. No last words for Jorah, either. Nor Beric.

The prophecy also claims that Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt, to wake dragons out of stone. Nothing in the prophesy says that Azor Ahai will deliver the fatal blow to the night king. The prophesy does not fit Arya.

It is said that wielding Lightbringer once again, Azor Ahai will stand against the Others, and deliver the world from darkness. WILL STAND against the Others; that could be Dany or Jon or both.

The show doesn't put the same empahsis on legendary sword names, so I think Lightbringer will be more of a book thing.
