When Ben takes Locke to go see Jacob for the first time, and Locke hears "Help me". That's obviously the Man in Black, right? Before getting to the little shack, John picks up some sand that was obviously out of place. I seem to remember this being in that foot statue in the last season.

I have watched season 1-4 multiple times, but the last two seasons I only caught once. Not sure if this was covered.

FYI, this rewatch is bad arse

I'm on season 4 of my rewatch so I'll look out for any clues to that in the last 2 seasons.

There won't be anything until season 5 or 6 regarding the "help me", I think.

Me and the GF(1st timer) are about to watch the finale of season 3. She's pumped. It's extremely hard not to want to talk about it and what I know, but I don't want to ruin it for her.

I would say it is my favorite moment on lost, but there are so many great moments and episodes it's hard to say.

So I guess that's when he marked John as his "host"

I think it was actually probably in season 1s "Walkabout" when Locke stood his ground against him.

The producers said that originally Eko was suppose to have a much bigger role in the show and that it was given to someone else. Some fans believe that his role was transferred to John but I'm not sure I buy that.

My favorite plot twist ever. The producers named that scene "the snake in the mailbox" and it was very very appropriate.

It sucks that you know Charlie is going to die, but maybe that's what made that scene so great..you knew it was going to happen.

fricking Mikhail

I've heard that Eko was a major douche on the island, and he was basically killed off way before he was supposed to be(if at all).

So I buy it

Yeah his death was pretty sudden. I forgot how major of a character he became for the 5-6 episodes before he was killed off

I think his role was transferred to Ben. I think that Eko was originally written to be the one to kill Jacob, and it would be an ironic reflection on his faith. Ben may have still killed Jon, but I think his overall influence on the story would have been transferred to Eko.

I think you're right. It certainly makes more sense than John.

It makes you wonder how different the show would've been, and perhaps even better if the actors playing Eko, Ana-Lucia, and Libby hadn't screwed up and gotten their parts written off (or diminished).

Though Libby's writing-off allowed her to be Wilson's wife/ex-wife late in House, which gave us a great dynamic back-and-forth between her and House.

I also just read that Daniel Dae Kim (a.k.a. Jin) got a DWI too. That would've SUCKED to lose him from the show.
