I disagree completely. I actually knew someone who reminded me so much of Ziggy, it was like they based the character off of him. My ex gf's twin brother. He actually passed away a couple of years ago from an OD.
Season 2 is probably the best season of the Wire.

frick man, when he's walking down to the water and you know it's over for him.
Count me as someone who didn't like S2 the first watch-through, but loved it on the second watch-through. I think it's because you have this police vs hood gang in your mind from the first season and then you're thrown in to this new setting without any warning. It's so much better if you know it's coming and where it fits in the show's universe.

It’s also to do with season 1 be an extremely slow burn until the late part of the season, so the light finally comes on like “oh shite this is amazing” towards the end of season 1 and then boom season 2 feels like you are starting from scratch
That’s why I say anyone who didn’t like it, needs to watch it twice without that clouding their view
