I remember a story about a guy doing this on Press Your Luck back in the day too. He memorized all of their changing borders and timed when to hit the button. No whammies for him just $$! Producers and host were stuck watching him just keep winning.

It was as easy as pausing his VCR and mapping out the few rotations they were using. Then he practiced by pressing pause on his VCR remote to mimic the actual game.
