The rapid fire analogies were beyond stupid. Bones never did that but all of the characters were like that, Abrams style parodies or completely different characters all together even down to their specialties. And the way they’re all suddenly promoted couldn’t be more stupid, especially Kirk and the bonanza of idiocy that leads to his rise on the ship.

The best of Star Trek was Kirk, Spok and McCoy. McCoy the experienced doctor who presented the moral argument, Spok with pragmatic logic on the other side and Kirk making the best decision possible based on those two perspectives. Your other top crew members added in expertise in their fields and personalities to the show. All this was needed to navigate impossible scenarios out in deep space where the crew had to be self sufficient 100% of the time. Now it’s silly mcguffin scenarios, soap opera shite with the crew and they zip around the universe like it’s a small neighborhood with all the Abrams, signature plot device tech that makes no sense at all and would make half the shite in the movies obsolete in the first place. And then there’s all the running around all the time. It’s Sci-Fi for retards.

I didn't mind the Kelvin verse - while not great, I enjoyed them
They were entertaining for what they were.
BTW, Beyond (3rd one) was the most Trek of the 3.

Their fighting tooth and nail to turn Star Trek into a money making machine like Disney did with Star Wars.
