i was catching on in the thread. But i havent read the books and i did get annoyed by the whole slave aspect. but i did think it was a bit of fresh perspective when the blind lady said that they were more than property. but cause in reality, outside of the massive plantations what had hundreds, most family that had a hand full of slaves treated them like part of the family.

Why would you get annoyed by a series based on books presenting stuff directly from the books?
And yes....the slaves mean quite a lot to Jocasta. You will see just how much later on, assuming they include this in the series.

The other poster did. Saying him and his wife are not gonna watch because of it, blah, blah, historically inaccurate, blah blah.
Just seemed silly over a show that is all. Even tried to point out that they are just following the books.
I really loved the books so I just want to enjoy the show and post about it in the thread.

Lots of people back then thought it was wrong too.
What would be really silly is to not expect someone from the future to be horrified by it if sent to the past and having to confront the utter depravity of it face to face.
