Same. There is a major scene in the book...where two characters meet each other for the very first time(don't want to spoil who for those that haven't read the books) that I CANNOT wait to see play out.

I'm as excited for that scene as I was for the printshop scene where Claire and Jaime are reunited last season.

Agreed. We(us that have read these amazing books already) know that Claire doesn't set out to abolish slavery(so the morons that don't want to watch the show anymore can breathe a sigh of relief that the show is more "historically accurate"). But we still get to see her moral conflict with it, while being presented why her and Jaime not taking a huge stand on it is really the best course of action for that time period.

It's pretty offensive to me for somebody to have an issue with slavery. They are ruining the show. My wife and all her coworkers think there should still be slavery and this show is putting out the wrong message for kids today.

Outlander is an excellent show and more men should be like Jamie.

More men should talk like Jaime that is for sure.

If my husband could only say sassenach like Jaime does. Sam was perfectly cast as Jaime imo.

Started calling my wife sassenach like 5 episodes into the show. She doesn't even watch it other than pointing out that Jamie is hot.

I feel like I'm the only dude in this thread. Is this that much of a chick flick show?

I think both Sam and cat are cast perfectly. I do miss Tobias menzies, though black jack should stay dead.

Most readers of the books are female. However I feel like the show is trying to encourage men to watch it as well.

Yes, the love story of Jaime and Claire is present at all times. But they still are very well written books that tell a fascinating story overall.

im a dude that watches with his wife. Good show.

Its not on my top tier but i enjoy it. I think it can get a little cheesy when the harp music plays and you see the same couple have sex again and again and again. And its not just a 30 second sex scene, they go on forever. Even my wife says its over the top, but then again thats what the books are and thats what the women want, so whatever.

The history part and characters is what i like. I liked S2 the best because i loved France and Prince Bonnie and Black Jack.

It is crazy that Sam and Cat aren’t a couple irl....their chemistry together onscreen is perfect.

I know, they should hook up IRL.

I didn't know about the show or books until after the first season. Then a friend introduced me and I was hooked.

It's always gotta be about race huh?

lulz

It can never be about historical accuracy or the fact that less than 2% of Carolinians were slave owners at the time.

Nah, definitely don't tell that side of the story.

The wife read all the books. I was hooked on the show she baited me into for the first three seasons ... even logged it into my TV time app. We were looking forward to its return

The story off the Scots that immigrated here is much more interesting than the one they are now telling.

They're no longer telling a story ... now they're messaging and doing what every other show eventually does. They're stirring up the shite for the kiddies and the SJW gals.

It's not offensive. It's just more of the same old everyday bullshite that's been going on every since the sixties.

Lord help is if we can ever accurately portray a certain period in time without all the holier than thou self righteous bullshite. Lord help us if we all just admit shite happened a long time ago and move on to something more constructive for our country. Lord help us if we one day quit ripping open old wounds just to watch them fester.

Same old same old bullshite non stop 24/7/365 for decades now.

That's what Hollywood is all about these days. Bad white men ... don't forget. You must be reminded constantly ... white man bad, all others good.

While I agree Hollywood always wants to make white men bad. The show is going the route of the books. Geez, calm down.

She likes it. She's into the nickname thing. I've yet to call her that while we're getting it on though

I get it, but I don't see why you're stuck on historical accuracy. I don't think there is a single person who watches the show watches it because of the historical accuracy. If they are, then it's pretty sad that they have to resort to fantasy novels/shows to do that. Or just stupid on their part.
