The most logical explanation is since Mike was a badass architect, he built a house that was an architectural anomaly just to frick w/ people. Mike was a curlier haired, gayer version of Frank Lloyd Wright.

But because of the staircase that was visible in almost every show, I'm deeming the BB house a two-story job.

Flintstones. One story.

Gilligan's Island. One story.

Agreed

Disqualified on account of being a bungalow/hut and not a real house.

Rejected on account of being a mushroom.

By George I think you've got it. How did I miss that one? They did have a basement though (not that it makes it a two story house)

I'm pretty sure that Rob and Laura Petrie's house was one story on The Dick Van Dyke Show.

And so was the house on The Real McCoys.

It's a sitcom just like the Flintstones...it just happens to be animated.

I vote yes.

Agreed. Certainly a one story house but debatable on it's sitcom-ness.

I think the gay couple in Modern Family live in a one story house.

Wonder Years is definatly a sitcom just like Golden Girls, Brady Bunch and any other TV show. The Flintstons on the other hand was a cartoon, not a Sitcom.

No way. Wonder Years was as much drama as it was a sitcom. It did fit the 30 minutes, different topic each week sitcom mold, but it was way more serious than most sitcoms.

You f'n crack me up!

He must've been one hell of a genius architect, because he was able to squeeze in a third story, too. Don't you remember the later episodes when Greg and Marsha were fighting over who would get the attic "apartment". Greg outfitted his new crib with hanging beads, as I recall!
