Am I claiming this show is going to win emmys? No, I'm not. I'm calling out poster fail. Let's take you for example:

Under what definition of fail? You're watching it, I'm watching it, Cold Pizza's dumbass is watching it. Oh that's right; that's because it's far and away the highest rating show on the network that also created and distributes Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

He started it.
I'm unhappy because I love SHTF/TEOTWAWKI stories, and I want this one to live up to it's potential. And it hasn't yet.

Yes let's take don draper and raylan givens and make them gay drag queens searching for the fountain of youth while being chased by venutian bunnymen.
I'm sure they could pull it off.

Maybe so. But seriously, dropping the cast and characters of Justified into The Walking Dead could work.

This episode was boring until the final 10 minutes. 1 zombie in the first 45 minutes is ridiculous.

Was that blue meth at the bottom of Daryl's ziploc bag full of meds?
Posted on 10/23/11 at 10:21 pm to WhiskeyTango
I think it was ecstasy

He said both meth and X while rummaging through the bag.

Don't watch the Aftershow. A clip from the episode this weekend gave a lot away

Raylan Givens would have already killed every walker in north America

Retard. The repetitive zombie action is the worst part of the show next to the underwhelming storylines.

frick you. The zombies are more interesting than the kids and the rest of the cast minus Rick, Shane, and Darryl

Is there a link to watch tonights episode anywhere?

All I'm saying is that I would rather the show be about actual character development than mindless zombie action even if the characters are stupid and annoying.

Very disappointing episode last night IMO.
For the second week in a row, nothing really happened. Week one was an hour and a half show, and an hour+ of if was looking for Sophia (who they still haven't found after two episodes now, so that shite will still drag on). Last week, Carl gets shot, and he's still not better, so that's gonna drag on for at least another week.
They're still no closer to the army base than they were, and actually are moving farther away (to backtrack to the farmhouse).
Glad there happened to be a doctor around at the house, as well as all the supplies of an ER to help Carl out. Sure, they need a few more things, but IV bags and shite? And he proper tools needed to perform a fricking blood transfusion? I dunno, just seemed way too convenient for my liking....much too deus ex machina really.
Shane/Fat Man at the school...makes no sense why they wouldn't lure the zombies away. For example, hop in the cop car, flip on the siren, and drive down the street. The zombies will follow you while the other guy raids the FEMA trailer.
Another case of zombies damn near sprinting, which I hate. HATE.
I still don't get how Sophia can be THAT lost, unless she was kidnapped/taken by someone or something like that.
I felt like the acting was weak last night. Shane, Rick, and wife were all overdoing it. That's really the first time I've thought that about the show.
The whole T-Dog (ugh) and Dale scene was weird. I guess the point was to show that TD was getting blood poisoning and kinda losing his mind, but that was just an odd scene. And I was still aggravated at how TD is just walking around acting like he didn't just lose several pints of blood.
And I would like to see some zombie action from time to time. Yes, one good thing about the show is that it's not just mindless zombie killing over and over, but a little dispersed here and there wouldn't hurt either. I liked the zombie in the woods scene (although I have no idea how they wouldn't have seen/heard him coming), and the end of the episode has me hopeful for next week, so we'll see.
I dunno...even though I felt like the first season got progressively worse, I still loved it. And I still absolutely love the show. But last night was the first time I was actually disappointed in it. I just feel like the plot is moving too slowly, actually to the point of not really moving forward at all. And that's not good. But obviously I'll still tune in every week because I do love the show.

I agree on everything except the overacting from Rick and his wife. Their son is dying, I would be a huge wreck as well. My wife would be even worse.
My out of the blue theory for next week: Anyone else think Shane is going to feed the fat guy to the zombies so he can get away with the medical supplies for Carl? His character has been getting a little more and more desperate and without remorse, so I'm thinking they take him to another level next week. I still really enjoyed the show last night. Even though it was one of the "weaker" ones thus far.
