Yeah, Rick lost it. He should've just went for the coup d'etat instead of that psycho speech. That speech sure as hell wasn't going to win him any votes.

Rick fricked up by giving away the element of surprise in a takeover. The only thing I can think Michonne was doing is pretending to put Rick on an island to keep appearances up. If they let this 4'5" congresswoman divide the group I hope they all get a W and tied to a tree. Bitch has zero survival experience, acts smarter than everyone, and still considers herself the best to lead. So basically the actress is dead on portraying a congresswoman.
Also... Rick needs to learn how to fight better. Or stop getting into it with guys 6" taller than he is. I'm ready for Abraham to be the designated fist fight guy. That doctor would have been out in 2.5 seconds if the giant ginger had been on the case.

They will all ally with Rick. The knockout was about buying time. All were in on the plan about taking over if the current regime proved ineffective. Rick just went a little psycho and jumped the gun.
