I missed it, but what was Xtina's rationale on letting Jessie go? All I heard her say is it was her decision, so back off and respect it, and Jessie will go on and do great things.

This is my first season watching this show, after it gets to the final 8 aka the semi finals according to Carson, does it go into individual performances, and is no longer team based?
It doesn't make sense to have 2 members from each team and then whittle it down further to just 1 member per team.
