I just wish they had a coherent storyline for all 3 films before filming episode 7

He told Ben Ren to kill Rey multiple times. “Kill the scavenger and end the Jedi” was the first thing he told Kylo to do.

Finn is THE WORST Star Wars character ever. Every time he was on screen I rolled my eyes. At least Jar Jar was kind og written to the side after TPM but this a-hole just kept getting shoved in our face.

Long story short, when Rian Johnson gave Hamill the script for TLJ, Hamill told him he disagreed with every single bit of Luke’s role, but would do whatever he needed him to to make it work. Hamill has all but said he hated every bit of what TLJ was without outright saying it.

He doesn’t get promoted for the missions he went on in the first two movies but then gets promoted to general because he’s Poe’s friend? Lol such a circus of a movie.

Well to be fair he probably didn’t get promoted because he was former First Order so there was distrust in Resistance towards him. But by events ROS there is little left in the resistance to debate Poe’s choice to promote him.

I do know that Palpatine didn’t tell Kylo to kill Rey, he told him to bring her to him.
He absolutely told Kylo to kill Rey at the beginning of this movie. He told Kylo to kill Rey so he could inherit the Sith Fleet and become what Vader didn't.
None of it made any sense whatsoever.

How do you explain the fact that Rey killed Palpatine which is exactly what he wanted and yet nothing happened to Rey?

I think it’s because she killed him not embracing the dark side

What’s that old saying? It’s not what you know it’s who you know lol.
Then again it did work out that way for Lando.
But at least they respected my man Poe enough not to have some purple haired twat muffin with no purpose tell him to stay in his lane this time around so that was good.

I know it’s just silly that Poe knows that Finn is going to do this with him but still says “I can’t do this alone” as if he needed to promote Finn to get him to participate. It’s silly.
Posted on 12/19/19 at 11:32 pm to Madking
He’s saying he can’t do this general stuff alone. So he promotes him.

Yea I’m sure that’s the idea but it doesn’t make any sense because she was going to do that before he explained his intent anyway.

Yea Poe held the movie together as much as anything.

I swear he told him to bring the girl to him. He may have said bring her here and kill her, but I know he told him to bring her there.

I think he did say that once he realized Ben Ren wasn’t going to kill her but he ordered him to kill her multiple times early on and midway through the movie.

Well maybe Sidious knows that Kylo won’t be able to kill Rey.
Posted on 12/19/19 at 11:49 pm to LSUfan398
I think that’s the idea, that he knew setting Kylo after her would end up bringing her to him. The only problem with that is if he knew that much he should’ve known that they’d end up together and that it would wreck his plans. So again not a well conceived idea.
Posted on 12/19/19 at 11:54 pm to Madking
Why would it wreck his plans if they came against him together? He easily defeated Kylo. He assumed he could easily defeat Rey and that was his undoing. She had the will of all the Jedi. He had all the will of the sith. The idea was to prove Jedi>Sith rather than Rey>Sidious
