good move by dan, but i think its getting overrated in this thread and on twitter.

he would be crazy not to rat out the "quack pack" (ian) before he left; only a fool would go out silently.

I'd rather her stay but if she does go as a result of Dan's plan, it makes this season a lot more interesting. Other than Joe and Jenn, I wouldn't be upset with any of the remaining hg's winning.

My #'s 1 and 2 would be Dan and Frank though. That would be a great final 2 although I don't think anyone beats Dan.

I jsut caught up on all my spoiler sites, and WOW. If this works, he easily surpasses Will. I can't even fathom how dumb these people must be to buy this schtick.

I really don't want to see Brit go, but it's definitely worth it to watch BB history in the making.

Not a chance. Don't get me wrong, it would probably be the best single move in BB history.

But Will was hated and targeted from day 1 in BOTH of his seasons, and was able to take 1st and 4th, without ever winning a single competition. That's unfathomable.

Eh. Dan still hasn't won this season, and competitions weren't really the measuring stick in those earlier seasons (only recently have they been emphasized). As a matter of fact, I'd say it's much easier to win the game without winning competitions (until the final HOH) than it is to win with 3 HOH's and 3 veto's on your back. You stand out more and more when you win.

If Dan makes this happen, I see no way he doesn't make it into the final 4. Frank can't play for a couple of weeks, and Brit will be gone. Dan can sit back and start writing himself a check.

Agreed, but Dan was well liked and not winning competitions. Will was hated and not winning competitions, so he still had a target on his back, which can be judged by all the times he was on the block (6 times). His big moves happened every week, compared to this once for Dan, although it is really big.

he was hated after america voted to evict jessie. Jerry, Olie, Michelle, and April wanted his head. In all stars Will was hiding behind s6, and had his best friend in the house.

Hiding behind them? He played them like fricking puppets every single week, and every single week they talked about getting him out until he worked his way out of it.

We've seen how hard it is to make it far with a basic two person alliance. This makes it that much more awesome in what he did. Hell, having a best friend in the house like that is harder to get by then just going at it alone.

Frank haters, myself included, did he go up in your eyes based on this move, if it happens?

To me, this is a very smart move for him. Takes the pressure off of him, assuming Dan stays. Almost guarantees a victory if he makes it to the end with Dan. Knowing that he cannot compete for HoH two weeks in a row, I think he made a really good move here. Thoughts?

Also, has there been any discussion amongst the HG's of the order the vetoes have to be played? For example, Jenn goes first and removes Dan. Frank then nominates Brit. Can Ian then use his ball and remove Brit? Any ideas on how that will play out?

If Dan makes it to the final two, there's noone that can beat him.

I don't agree. I understand the panic to get that veto but he had no safety secured at that point. It was a flying by the seat of his pants move that may work for him if he's lucky.

I'm interested in this as well. Since the producers helped Dan plan his big move, I doubt that Ian can screw it up.

I agree with this 100%. I am a huge Dan fan, but I do not think anyone can convince me that he did not have help this time. I mean who in there right mind would take one of the 2 best players of all time who is going out the door off the block? Just doesn't compute. Also, they have psychologists on staff in the BB house, who knows what makes each HG tick. No one will ever convince me that they were not scripting this plan as soon as Ian won the gold veto ball. They knew Dani would react like she did.

I have always had a little theory that production will add bonuses ($) as they see fit. Telling Jenn they would throw her some extra money if they removed him for instance. Completely my own theory, but we know they influence the game.

Also, and I have asked this before in this thread, but how in the hell do watch this show without "spoilers"? From last night til today, I have been on the edge of my seat waiting for the replacement noms. You cant get that watching an hour 3 nights a week!

Dan told Danielle that he told production before he made the speech. He also told the cameras that the solitary confinement was best for his game, thinking wise.

Danielle mentioned that when she kept asking production to check on Dan when he "wasn't feeling well" they kept reassuring her he is just fine.

I am sure they helped him talk out all the scenarios but I truely feel this was mostly Dan's doing.

I agree for the most part on the plan. He had 24 hours to "think". I think he had a little help getting the HG's to jump on board. I mean Frank has absolutely hated Dan for a while. And why would Jenn use the veto to keep in a strong player?

BTW, they have/had fish. Veto maybe?
