Another solid episode. Every episode you feel worse and worse for Jimmy, but he's damn near close to breaking. The ending of this episode really had me feeling terrible for him that he was THIS close to getting the new office and THIS close to having Kim as his partner only for it all to not work out.
He's near the edge and will not be doing 'the right thing' for much longer.

yep, it had to work out that way of course, and now we know how he and Mike wound up in nefarious business together, also that his daughter in law decided to "live with it".

well she said 2 years maybe, and they apparently put up a big block of her tuition so she would work there as a junior. Also recall losing the Kettlemen account was going to set her way back.
Yes. I can see her making the decision to do something scummy to speed that partnership up, etc. Remember in the hospital, the Dr. wanted to have him committed. I can see the slickster nemesis dude telling Kim that if she can convince Jimmy to have Chuck committed, she jumps ahead to partnership. She compromises Jimmy into compromising Chuck....that ends up destroying those relationships and Jimmy going all in to get money / power in the fastest way possible.
obviously, it is just a "fan fiction" kind of idea. But, I can see some form of it

Except that Jimmy said he was going to commit Chuck (so they would have to buy him out) and she talked him out of it (in the hospital). So apparently Commitment is not what the firm wants, they want the status quo.

The trick is for the law firm to somehow become Chucks estate executor (ahead of Jimmy who obviously would be now), I'd guess that's what the other law partner is working toward. The fact that Chuck is working on trying to get better is likely to accompany a big setback that is going to further push Jimmy from hope to despair. It's interesting already knowing where he is headed, it's all about how he gets there.
