re: Official Avengers thread

My quick thoughts before I drop a deuce baby:

This movie is everything that superhero movie should be. The action was present throughout the movie, the heroes while in no HOLY shite they're going to die moments, did have some scares. I loved how they brought them all together. It was fantastic. The plot was simple, yet still somewhat deep. The action was out of a dream. Imagine the best video game action possible for an Avengers game. Well imagine if Disney put the budget to make it happen. Yeah, your mind and visual sense just orgasmed. So did mine. Several times. The dialogue was top fricking notch. Before the title scene the dialogue was a bit cheesy, but once the title card hit the dialogue was all top notch. You can tell Joss Whedon had his strongest input on the script in that regard. The witty retorts and natural moments of hilarity enhanced an already topnotch action movie. Imagine if they took Bad Boys too, made it superheros, gave it pg-13 dialogue that was more hilarious, and a better plot. Okay even then that's not a fair comparison.

Simply put, this movie was pure entertainment from start to finish. The characters were great and relatable, the dialogue was money, the plot was solid and airtight, and the action is the new for big budget films. Loki may have gotten his arse kicked, but The Avengers are going to Hulk Smash some box office records.
