What?

She has never been a girlboss

I'm genuinely curious on why you think that? Or maybe that term means something different to both of us?

Her entire story in BotW trying to unlock her powers and then finding them at the last moment and single handedly locking Ganon away. Then using her OP bow and arrows to help defeat him.

I always saw Zelda as legitimately strong in a more real way, not girlboss. Girlboss don't need no Link.

It would be cool if they made Link silent. Don't at all expect that, but having him talk kills some mystique.

A girlboss is a female character who is elevated by diminishing male characters around her. She can never be corrected by, admonished by, or bested by a male character. . .unless it is to serve to prove how oppressed she is, or how sexist and patriarchal the world is that she must overcome.

Also, she can never learn to be powerful or train to become powerful. She can train and learn, but it won't work. She just has to believe in herself.

That is as basic a framework as I can muster.

Completely agree with that. And I don't expect to see that here. Nintendo really cares about their IPs.

Some people think "girlboss" means "strong female character". . .

. . .Because nuance gets in the way of calling people "sexist man babies" or whatever the epithet du jour happens to be.
