ok, heard about this and decided to watch it. Everyone was claiming it was WOKE. Actually i did not see that, but they were bias in their telling of the American Experiment. I would say it was not overtly anti-anything. They took digs at Trump without using his name. If you are a non-American and watch it you would not see the subtle digs of modern American politics. It certainly had a point-of-view that was very left leaning through the lens of modern politics. That being said, that is not the weakest part of the series.
Pros -
I thought it basically presented some of the lesser known founders in a good light.
It did a real good job of giving the history behind why we fought a revolution
It was overall positive viewing of the country and I am facinated to read the book of the Declaration scholar they featured. She had an interesting perspective.
Cons
It watered down the actual revolution a lot. It, like most of these documentaries, leaned to much into the Americans were farmers and these British were professional soldiers aspect. They gave the French way too much credit and basically portrayed Washington as having to be lead by the French to attack at Yorktown. Glossed over the entire southern campaign and did not even mention Francis Marion or Daniel Morgan or Nethanial Green.
They totally missed the concept that Americans of the time viewed British soldiers as foreign troops. They tried to make an equivalency of using the national guard in DC as how appauling our founders would fine that concept. They should read about the Whiskey Rebellion.
Featuring Clineon and Gore to attack the Electorial College without giving the counter-proint of view from the Federalist Papers and why it exist.
Overall, it was well made but it lacked as a documentary. It was an overall positive puff piece from a left point of view.

I kind of figured this would be less documentary and more left wing preaching, and you confirmed it. Even Ken Burns couldn't keep his politics to himself. I'd like to find a legitimate, in depth, American revolution series. I believe there is a really good one on youtube, but i forgot the name of it. Netflix is just a mouthpiece for the Democrat party.
