I need to get a list of as many movies as I can, that are similar in theme to the following:
Main character would be a young boy in a family, ideally one with an older brother. Older brother is popular, over-achiever, strong, daddy's pride and joy. Younger brother lives in brothers shadow. Conflict arises and older brother proves he's not as strong as perceived and younger brother proves to be the hero.

Anything with the younger leaving home?

I know there are some great examples out there, just drawing a blank.

TIA

Wolverine.

Sabertooth is his older brother.

He leaves home first.

The first serious answer that comes to mind is Imaginary Heroes. Great movie.

A bit of Stand by Me, but not exactly 'cause I think older popular brother died before the movie started.

The Fighter also comes to mind for some reason, although that may be a bit a stray from what you're looking for.

Perfect example would be A league of Their Own, just with women...... Unless you think Dottie dropped the ball on purpose

If it was about kids instead of adults Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) would fit. IMDb
