I'd say 90% of the movies I liked in the 80's and early 90's are almost unwatchable now
Don't rewatch Monster Squad. Just remember how great it was, and keep it at that.

Is this the one where they are running under ground to beat the sunrise
I tried to watch the old Red Dawn the other day and it was tough

Also, stay away from the Transformers movie.

This is the first one that came to my mind, actually. I loved that movie when I was younger...thought it was hilarious. Then I watched it again years later and wondered what the hell I was thinking. It's just bad all around.

Sure, it's pretty bad, but it's not "the worst movie ever"...a label that it tends to carry.

I just watched that a few weeks ago and think it has aged well for what it is.
I wish we had more Riddick movies. I watch CoR whenever it comes on.

I liked Pitch Black a lot.
The second one, not so much. But the first one is solid IMO.

Red Dawn (the original, I'm sure the remake sucks too)
Anything with Stallone, Rocky I excepted

They are. Called simply Riddick.
Comes out next year and supposedly is going to be more in pitch black vein.

Phantom menace, part of me really thinks this one could have been good. I mean i love the concept
the patriot - excellent cinematography but the slow motion just gets to the point where i start laughing and the drama (some of which is asinine) is too integral to the film. Great costumes as well
waterworld - i still fricking love that set, why the frick did they destroy it 20 minutes into the movie. terrible acting, terrible writing, cheesy as frick. this is one i often advocate doing a remake of, cool concept but the movie sucked
the great outdoors - nope, still love this one
Spiderman - why the frick did i ever like this movie?
- too my credit, i never eeeeever like the joel schumacher batman movies. Tim Burton's batman is the first movie i ever saw in a theater and influenced the kind of movies that i enjoy now.
