Fan outrage made him rethink it, hopefully he doesn't follow through. He wanted to be Jack Burton too, that role would have to be changed significantly because the Rock is a legitimate badass where Jack Burton just thought he was a lot more badass than he was, it made the role great and funny, the Rock would ruin that.

No way. It’s in my top 10 favorite movies of all time and is damn near perfect as is. Only thing I would do is cut out the Denis Leary crap and replace it with something better.

Watched it in my VR movie theater a few weeks ago and didn’t realize the international version is Pizza Hut instead of Taco Bell. Which is really odd since there is still a lot of Taco Bell logos in the scene and the waiter/waitress uniforms make no sense for Pizza Hut. International audiences don’t have Taco Bell’s though, so they made the change.
