Slumdog, while good, is not as incredible as everyone makes it out to be, and next to Crash and Chicago, it would probably be my least favorite of the Best Picture winners this decade.

I agree with this whole statement.

Crash was wildly overpraised by some people. Not an absolutely horrible movie, but a mediocre one whose reach exceeded its grasp.

this comment applies to a lot of the movies in this thread

however, i don't know if crash is one of them.

Olbermann's best work has always been in the sports world. The fact that you would refuse to watch someone doing what they are best at because of something completely unrelated to the action they are performing is pretty fricking ignorant.

Sunday Night Football is about football. Olbermann doesn't bring politics into it. When he and Dan Patrick do the highlights, it's reminiscent of the old school Sports Center days--back when ESPN was still good. Maybe you don't remember those days, but I do.

And for what it's worth, I can't stand Olbermann's MSNBC show (or most of the shows on MSNBC, for that matter).

I agree with this. I love Olbermann doing sports.

Olbermann's "Countdown" shows more commericals than FOX or CNN. It's really about half an hour when you take out the ads.

Somehow, Olbermann's personality and wit don't seem to match his show and vantagepoint of. I think MSNBC just needed someone to try and take ratings away from "The Factor" and that is still a major :fail:.

Olbermann doesn't strike me as far right as Hannity or Limbaugh, but he certainly doesn't seem like cable news voice and face for the "left".

I used to download the commercial free podcasts. Run about 44-48 minutes...

I used to watch Olbermann on a local L.A. channel when I lived out there. He was really good, and I knew he'd move up to ESPN. His sports work is very entertaining, IMO. I even used to like his MSNBC show until he became the mirror opposite of Beck, Hannity, et al. His sports work is still very good. Patrick, too.

Syriana and Crash, i thought Crash tried way to hard to push the racial issue and Syriana i just didn't get.
