I don't have cable so I can't DVR anything.
NFL Game Pass only has a few commercials and they play the ever living shite out of them (like this dumbass Lincoln commercial). They get ingrained in your head.

I hear ya. I know when I watch a game on Watch ESPN they'll repeat the same commercials over and over and over. So maybe I don't 100% "tune the F out" 
But I certainly don't know 90% of commercials that are probably popular ones.
I cut the cord for 2 years. It wasn't bad, but watching live sports was just too much of a hassle.
I now have cable again basically for the sole purpose of live sports and the DVR capability.
