Also the reason that the Hornet squadrons befoamed so poorly, is the Hornets squadrons had so little combat action before the battle and very little time to practice bombing, torpedo, attacks, combat air patrols and the basics of how to run the a cv in action.
The Doolittle Raid is the main reason for this, and has to be put in any movie on Midway.

What should they have done to make it better? Woody as Nimitz was turrible and Joe Biden as a pilot was annoying AF but what else would you change?

Was never going to see this. As you said, Midway is one of the most important battles in US history and an amazing underdog victory.
Not gonna see a movie that treats it like Flyboys.
