Since when is Chris Pine elite? Based on what?
His work, my eyes, but it's ok if you think he's not.
The rest you wrote I didn't argue

Good call.
I like Austin Butler for Crockett. He played Elvis, now he can have an alligator named Elvis.

Please keep John Leguizamo far, far away from this movie.
He’s the comedic relief latino buddy whose daughter gets caught up in narco activity against her better judgment. She was always flirty and friendly with Crockett so obviously he has to save the day. Leguizamo dies telling someone to get fricked. Crockett rides around with cool music playing and the sun setting on the bad guys. It writes itself.
Plus he has street cred for being in the original show.

Butler is the same age now as Don Johnson was when the series started.
