I don't care what RT says, all of those movies are pretty damn entertaining.

This. People who let RT tell them what movies to like are ridiculous.

I agree but I dont see the TMNT needing massive CGI and obnoxious explosions and half naked woman

Okay, i wouldnt mind that last one but still Micheal Bay and TMNT is an awful fit

I have seen all four movies and I rate them as follows:

The Rock - 7/10
Armageddon - 5.5/10
Bad Boys - 5/10
Bad Boys II - 4.5/10

The Rock was the only film I found remotely entertaining because the villain (Ed Harris) was so complex and sympathetic. Plus I really loved the chemistry between Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery. I liked Armageddon when I first saw it in theaters but have since grown to dislike it quite a bit, mainly because of how cheesy the dialogue is, how unbelievably laughable the premise is, and how incredibly bad Bruce Willis is.

Bad Boys I and II were just terrible.

And rating the other Michael Bay films I have seen:

Pearl Harbor - 4/10
The Island - 4.5/10
Transformers - 6/10
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - 3/10
Transformers: Dark of the Moon - 5/10

I thought this movie got canned? Will be a travesty if a Bay-directed alien turtle movie gets released.

I'm confused. I'm a TMNT geek, but you could honestly cast a toaster oven as april and it wouldn't change the story.

Aww... c'mpn dude! some hack attractive actress is playing a reporter in a movie with mutant turtles and rats and spiky metal bad guys, and a scientist that turns himself into a fly, and a warthog and a rhino that enjoy breakdancing.

Bay may have done weak stuff, but he also has been making money due to his vision of action in movies.

So why again did they decide they are aliens?

frick all you guys, I'll definitely be seeing the new TMNT movie. I don't really give a frick who they choose for April O'Neil (not Oneal BTW).

This. It's a movie about turtles, not a fricking Oscar award winner.

And who gives a shite that they'll be aliens? Is that less believable than 'mysterious goo' instantly growing them 6ft tall along with an instant knowledge of the English vocabulary?
