Anyone else catch it tonight on Freeform?
Tonight was the series premiere and they ran the first two episodes back-to-back. The story is a bit different from the comics, but not bad. The flashbacks seem to drag a bit, but at the same time they are interesting (I think I am just spoiled on the faster pace of Agents of SHIELD). I'm liking that they are really struggling to discover how to access and use their powers, frick an uncreative training montage.
And it's filmed (and set) in N'Awlins.

No Dabney Coleman, no care.

She is, and I thought it was a pretty decent show. If they don't go too hard down the SJW road, I may stick around.

Got about 40 minutes in last night before I had to get into some other stuff - was surprised at how much I was enjoying it.

Anyone else think she looks a lot like Natalie Alyn Lind from The Gifted?

I like that they are changing the origins somewhat.
In the comics, Tyrone's stutter results in the death of his friend (shot by a cop), but in the comics, they are from Boston, not NOLA, and her family isn't ruined by Roxxon.
I wonder if they are going to give the female cop superpowers like her comic counterpart (Mayhem).

I thought that when I first saw her, but she doesn't have Lind's ta-ta's.

Anyone still watching this? My wife and I are really enjoying it.

There's a direct connection to Luke Cage in this series.
Brigid O'Reilly (Brunette cop played by Emma Lahana) was formerly in the same precinct as Misty Knight. Both shows mention the other ("O'Reilly moved to New Orleans", "Back when I used to work in Harlem")

Nice catch. I didn't notice that. Show might be best comic show going on right now. The Gifted is good too.

I’d stick my tongue up her butt

This show is really good and the music placement is A1. It's really exceeding all expectations I had for it. Those two young actors/ actress have an amazing chemistry between each other. Looking forward to next season.
PS: The fact it's shot and placed in new orleans is A1. Caveat I hate they refer to the hood as the "Ward" like there aren't 17 of them.

Renewed for season 2. "Mayhem" is teased. I guess that means O'Reilly gets superpowers.
