As a spin off of the Predator thread I was wondering what the board thought of what would be the manliest movies ever. Time to indoctrinate my 12 yr old. Off the top of my head:

Raiders of the Lost Ark - my GOAT
Predator
Rocky 3
Die Hard
Outlaw Josy Wales

I need some help on the older westerns as I’m a gen x’er. Thoughts?

He might be a bit young yet, but soon you should introduce him to some “harder” Clint Eastwood westerns, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, the Bad, and The Ugly, and also High Plains Drifter. Those’ll put some hair on his chest.

Woah... have I found one of the other 12 people to have seen this movie?

8-12 year old Slap loved that movie. Haven’t seen it probably a quarter century. I need to see if it’s available online.

I’d

Not 100% sure if a 12 year old would appreciate them (either wouldn’t be entertained by the campy nature of some them or might could be just a little too involved for his liking), but I’d add-

Unforgiven
Tombstone
Tango and Cash
Braveheart
The Running Man
Saving Private Ryan
Demolition Man
Rambo (2008)
RoboCop
