I loved watchmen and.am a fan of Snyder's vision, but I hated this Superman movie. I have not seen a Superman movie I liked. Maybe I just hate Superman.

I don't understand how those two are comparable. The Dark Knight Trilogy is the best set of superhero movies. Avengers was incredibly average. I hope MoS is closer to DKS.

The tone and style of MoS was more like TDK while the action and spectacle was more like The Avengers.
It took the best parts of each movie, put a big coat of Superman paint on them, and viola!
