Not impressed. Very run of the mill and typical senior year coming of age story. Lots of SJW virtue signaling ( crack at Reagan, girl wanting to pursue liberal arts degree in NY, joins the drama club, boyfriend turns out to be gay) which I guess explains the Oscar buzz. Was hoping for a Saoirse Ronan upset for Actress, but she was so much better in Brooklyn. Janney should take supporting over Metcalf, too.

Enlightening. You're a great conversationalist.

I agree with you. I didn’t care for it, either.

The horror

It was one thing when just SJWs were so damn sensitive, but now it’s just become the common trend for everyone

I love that joining the drama club is SJW now

I saw it this morning. It's a movie about a pretentious girl. Apparently Sacramento is the middle of nowhere now? UC Davis is a good school. Just a bunch of first world problems.

I thought it was a pretty good representation of the era. I laughed when she told her friend to stop being a republican when she was worried about terrorism.

Yeah, but the movie makes it clear she's a bit delusional in all this.

Made clear that she wants to be "Surrounded by culture." Sacramento is a city of 500k+ people. The Bay Area is right there.

Call Me By Your Name was better.

Not exactly the battle of the titans. Two of the most overhyped indie films in years. Up there with Garden State.

Absolutely not. Not even a discussion. Lady Bird was a decent movie, and Call Me By Your Name was a big pile of hot shite.
