Great movie from back when no one was cooler than Mel Gibson. Raul Julia (R.I.P.) in an over the top drug kingpin/Mexican DEA agent role. Michelle Pfeiffer at her best. J.T. Walsh (God rest his so hate-able soul) in one of his typical A-hole roles. Even had Arliss Howard in a "buddy" role. Great casting for 1988!
Also loved him in Used Cars, BTILC & Tombstone.

I don't think he's underated. Dont think hes shown any extraordinry ability. He does play the good masculine charachter. Soldier, jock, action hero, etc. He's thought of as he should be.

Stuntman Mike has got to be one of his best roles. If you haven't seen Death Proof, its definitely worth a watch.
