Just because it’s spelled that way doesn’t mean it’s pronounced that way

I've never heard anyone pronounce each letter individually.

I've also never had nor heard a conversation discussing these things.

"At-At" comes from how Kenner branded the toy. The AT-ST was simply branded 'Scout Walker."



Don't underestimate the effect Kenner had on young minds. I still have to shake myself to remember that dispite his carded toy, Obi Wan did NOT have a yellow lightsaber.
