Im on season 3 and once you get over it being a feminist fever dream I found it to be actually be a fairly well produced, well acted and compelling story of a twisted nightmare version of America.

Are we pretending GOT doesn’t exist anymore?

I would have liked to see bigger picture things play out. Did the United States take back all the states it lost to Gilead? How did it go down?
What did the new USA/post Gilead world look like?
The series had some really good episodes and seasons but was definitely geared towards women.

Never gave the series a second thought as the source material grew from hyper over reaction to Reagan’s America.
It was more so a reaction to televangelism than any specific political movement. Nevertheless, what made the book actually quite good is pretty much impossible to replicate in tv/film, at least for a mainstream audience.

My wife and I both agreed that we are happy to never see a slow-mo close up of Elisabeth Moss snarling at the camera ever again
I swear they would just film 23 minutes of action / dialogue and then just give the editor B-roll of her grimacing at the camera and tell them to make it last 47 minutes.

Yea I felt that during season 2 and her return to...well I won't get into spoilers.

I had issues with the show - as a show - more than the material.
