You talking about the one with Jaime Lannister and Chadwick Boseman?

Movie was trash dude. They spent $200 million on that movie and some of the scenes looked like Syfy channel crap. I’m not talking about the acting or dialogue, like literally the final cgi’ed scenes looked like obvious green screen crap.

Wasn’t Tim Robbins like the fifth choice or something for the role of Andy Dufresne?

In Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption, Red is a ginger-haired, Irishman. Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood and Paul Newman were all considered for the role that eventually went to Morgan Freeman. Darabont alluded to the casting choice by having Red jokingly reply to Andy’s inquiry about his nickname with the line, “Maybe it’s because I’m Irish.”

Clint Eastwood or Paul Newman would have made an awesome Red.

Travolta’s career was on life support when pulp fiction came out. Pulp fiction revived it.

He wasn’t a box office draw.

Would not have mattered who was in Pulp Fiction. Was all about QT.

Forrest Gump was also released in 1994, as was The Lion King. It was a big year for Hollywood. Shawshank is the type of movie that needs a big Oscar buzz to draw a crowd, but it was simply overshadowed by other films.

It is terrible. Good idea but awful execution, trying to turn legends of mythology into avengers style CGI flick.

Scarface (Pacino/Depalma version)

Not the best but for a box office bomb it sure enjoyed later success.
