I liked Extrememly Loud and Incredibly Close alright

A multi-perspective story (like Traffic) using the 9/11 report as a basis but also showing the perspective of normal people could be interesting, I mean its still too soon but seeing how a bunch of middle class religious dickwads and diletanttes from Saudi Arabia could pull off something like this would help demystify the whole thing and might shut up some of the "Jet fuel can't melt steel beams" morons*.
*As an aside, why do people need to add a conspiracy theory to this, I get needing to do it for say JFK because thinking an unemployed loser could take out the most powerful man in the world is hard to accept, but for 9/11 there actually was a conspiracy- a few dozen religious nutjobs with funding primarily from an American "ally" planned multiple hijackings (something that's happened a ton of times in the past, just not at the same time) and then flew the planes into stuff (something that's been written about for years) instead of directing them somewhere why do you need to add to that.

I'd be down for a movie. While it was a tragic time, it also showed the best of America and the courageous people and how we all came together in a time of crisis.

Kind of like ABC's "The Path to 9/11" they released as a two-part TV movie in 2006?

I just watched a documentary on the people WTC was based on. Apparently the person played by Tom Cruise's cousin was black in real life.
