new series from Discovery that just hit Max Sunday.
episode 1 is about tornados, and they cover footage of tornados in Rolling Fork, MS, Little Rock, AR and a few more in Iowa and Oklahoma.
it is all footage from storm chasers and people caught in the path of the tornados. it was such an awe inspiring thing to witness, and the footage of the tornado hitting rolling fork is some of the most haunting store footage I have ever seen.
each episode deals with a different disaster - 1 will be Wildfires, 1 will be hurricanes and such.
solid 1st episode - cannot wait for the rest.

We watched it as well. The guy that was caught outside and had to hold on to the door. Wow!!
I have watched some of the videos of people trying to escape a wild fire. That is so scary. I would rather deal with any other natural disaster than a wild fire.
I feel like your chances of surviving a wild fire if you can't get out, are slim to none.

I assume you mean can’t get out?
This show sounds interesting. Is it only on Max or does it actually air on tv as well?

Discovery Channel, Sundays at 10. First episode was last Sunday.
Saw it, and thought it was great. Some incredible footage, and audio.

This series has been pretty great! The last episode about the “bomb cyclone” (stupid name) in the Northeast in 2022 was incredible and stressful. The footage of the pileups and elderly Joe were hard to watch. Also the lady who fell asleep in her car…I’ve said enough.
Too bad only one episode remains.

I went to Iowa a month after the 2nd Derecho that had in the episode and it was every bit as bad as it looked.

Season 2 is out, and it is fantastic! 4 episodes so far, and they are all so well done. On par with season 1 with incredible, gut wrenching footage.
So far has covered Texas Derecho, Hurricanes Milton and Helene in Florida, Helene destruction in NC and Tennessee, and a special shark week episode.
Upcoming episode will cover twin tornadoes in Iowa.

Yeah my wife and I love this show. It is probably the only weekly show we watch. This season has been really cool bc the storms are from 2024 so far and I remember watching them live. Especially Milton and Helen in Tenn and NC.
