24) Mr. Zsasz
25) Court of Owls

Pretty crappy list. Hush, Hugo Strange, and Bane are criminally underrated, and Catwoman, Penguin, and the Riddler are ridiculously over rated. And Red Hood didn't even make the list.

So what would you rank as the Top Batman villains. Here would be my list:

1) Joker
2) Ra's al Ghul
3) Hush
4) Scarecrow
5) Hugo Strange
6) Bane
7) Red Hood
8) Two-Face
9) Mr. Freeze
10) Talia al Ghul

HM: Harley Quinn

I'm too lazy to sit down and process all the information to competently come up with a list of my own but I will say that I like your list better than IGN's. Nothing I really disagree with on first glance.

Your top 5 is pretty solid. I wouldnt put Hush at 3, probably put him at 5.

6) Two Face
7) Doctor Hurt
8) Court of Owls
9) Talia Al Ghul
10) Riddler

Not sure how you can like Hush so much without listing Riddler, since he was the real villain in that best arc with Hush.

Red Hood is good but wouldnt call him a true villain.

I wouldn't necessarily call Catwoman a villain in the historical sense of the word.

Also, I love Harley Quinn. Think she's highly underrated even if she's always been in the Joker's shadows.

Well, doing the law of averages, Riddler is almost always gimmicky and simply a nuisance to Batman. Yes, the Hush storyline is the one time he came through as a legitimately great villain, but in order for him to be that good in the first place, he had to bathe in a Lazarus Pit. Hush has been consistently excellent though, while I think the Arkham games kind of have it down on what the Riddler is all about. It seems kind of a fluke he was that good in that storyline, rather than one of consistency.

Well, he's tried to kill Batman a few times and his methods completely insult Batman's. He's certainly more of a villain than Catwoman is.

I like Harley Quinn's character, but the problem is she's almost never an actual threat to Batman or the city at large. She's a great side character, but no way in hell could she hold her own film without Mr. J.

id put him in line with her. Red Hood also still sees Batman as a father figure and has helped him several times. hes also been on a couple of hero teams.

I'll tell you why I like Hush so much. To me Batman is to the Joker as Bruce Wayne is to Thomas Elliott. The guy is a complete sociopath to his absolute core. And unlike all his other villains, he doesn't really care about Batman himself; he's solely occupied by the thought of destroying everything Bruce Wayne stands for. The guy cut the breaks to his parents' car when he was 7 just to inherit his family's wealth, only to hold a surgeon accountable for actually doing his job in saving one of them. And that's just his background, not to mention everything else he's done.

I loved Hush. then they destroyed his "it-factor" by putting him in every storyline and making most of it pretty shitty.

they did finally step off the gas and let him grow more as a character. like I said, top 5 for sure.

So they can come up with a top 25 list of Batman villains but we still get the same 4-5 villains in every Batman movie they make.

As someone whose never gotten into the comics, Hush seems like an interesting villian

I think Ra's is prolly number 2 behind The Joker.

He offers Batman everything he ever wants, love with Talia, peace and effectively ending crime to honor his parents...it's jus through extreme methods like killing and to go insane from the Lazarus Pit and blood of the demon. Batman is always on the fence when it comes to Ra's

Hush would be great, but there is a problem that the movies seem to be obsessed with: making a continuity. The direction I'd take the Batman franchise is the direction of the Bond franchise. As you said, they were able to take out 25 different villains, and there are many more such as Black Mask and Red Hood. Some could carry films better than others, but there's no way in hell you could make a continuity to do Red Hood without 3 movies before it establishing Batman, the Joker, and all 3 Robins. For Hush to be done properly, you'd have to set up even more villains. Batman really needs to throw continuity out the window and just start wherever they wish to on the Batman timeline. the DC Animated films have done this tremendously, so I don't see why they couldn't do it in live action.

Wouldn't put her top 25.

When they are not fighting they are fricking.

Kind of like with Catwoman.

Bane has to be in the top 10.

Not the Tom Hardy version, certainly not the shitty version from Batman and Robin, but the actual South American comic version that systematically breaks Batman down psychologically and wears him out before finally breaking his back.

The Arkham Knight Scarecrow version is all sorts of fricked up and is far more sinister than any other incantation of the villain.

As far as Joker. There's a huge gap between 1 and 2. It's more like.

1. Joker
2. Joker
3. Joker
4. Joker

5+ The rest of the list
