Connery was clearly burned out by the time YOLT was released and was ready to GTFO of the role.

From Russia with Love is my favorite Bond film and Daniela Bianchi is my favorite Bond girl. Just a really good move with a great supporting cast including Robert Shaw, Pedro Armendariz and Lotte Lenya.
OHMSS is excellent also but Connery is better than Lazenby.

That’s not a hot take. It’s the right take. OHMSS is a masterpiece and along with From Russia With Love probably the only standalone cinematic masterpieces in the series. You only live twice is mediocre and Diamonds are Forever is complete garbage.
