Yeah if woke is the complaint then that ain't here. The standouts are VAs(minus Buffy) and the animation. The flashback sequences where they try to be Filmation references are great too. But Smith hasn't been on his game for a long time and he used MotU as a weird way to do a Kingdom Come, Marvels, or Reign type story and he is nowhere near his Green Arrow days as a writer anymore. Pacing sucked, lack of knowing the material and creatively bankrupt license with so much of it led to better stuff being left out. But that's what you get when you buy Kevin Smith post Felicia rape and Batman peeing himself.
What I would like to see is Mattel go back to before they had to pretend there was a cartoon. And just use the straight up Jungle Barbarian from the comics fighting Skeletor from the Skeleton Dimension. They even tease us a bit with the old artwork for the intro too.
SPOILERS:
Adam isn't dead 2x, he's just mostly dead. He will probably be dead by the end of the series though. Re-earning his place in Preternia and choosing his He-man form.

I thought it was decent. I liked the music during the fight scenes. Had my speakers going pretty good.

Beyond that it's all about Teela and giving every female character the arms of a male Olympic gymnast. The way Teela, her companion and Evil Lynn are drawn makes this, artistically, eye-candy for butch lesbians and submissive males
Don’t forget giving Teela the ridiculous shaved side part haircut. All of the “strong” female characters were drawn in a very masculine way, and of course they had to shoe horn in a black lesbian “friend” for Teela. The worst part about this garbage is that Kevin Smith lied to fans of the franchise when rumors surfaced that this series was going to be all about female empowerment and essentially nothing about the classic battle between He-Man and Skeletor.

He-Man is not the main character in his own universe! So basically Kevin Smith is doing anything to get that Netflix paycheck and he knows they will buy progressive stuff.
The funny thing is, go watch Kevin Smith's 90s run of movies and tell me he wouldn't be cancelled today. He knows he has to conform, bc his brand of comedy was murdered by woke culture.

Kevin Smith had Batman piss himself. All you need to know about what a hack he is.
