Greatest voices in Hollywood history

If anything is certain, Hollywood stars of today definetly don't sound like they used to.
Maybe it was the hard drinking, hard smoking habits of the matinee icons of the town's golden era, but few, if any actors working today possess the booming, indesputable voices like they used to.
Just take George Clooney, probably the smoothest, deepest voiced mainstream star of today, but even he is a pale comparison to the likes of Orson Welles, Robert Mitchum, James Earl Jones, Gregory Peck, Vincent Price, John Wayne, Bogart, or William Holden, Richard Burton, Kirk Douglas, and whole swath of others like Peter Ustinov, or Phil Harris or Mel Blanc.
Maybe it was the signifant stage time most actors of time had under their belts then, or the long nights corousing around the leather-boothed, lowly-lit, smoke-filled clubs. Whatever the reasons, it's abundantly clear that those men, and many of the women too, had voices that will probably never be duplicated again.
Just another reason why the stars of yesteryear will forever be burned in the movie-loving publics memories.

Mark Hamill is up there. The voice is ridiculously sinister.

Drama class attracts a different sort of "man" nowadays compared to back then.

Sam Elliott = GOAT
Absolutely. If you told me I could look like Ryan Gosling or sound like Sam Elliott, I'm taking Sam Elliott's voice every day.
