Thought they confirmed 7 and then 6 for 13 total.

They never confirmed 13. They said the show would film between 72-75 hrs to wrap up. That means 13-15 episodes left. All they confirmed was that they would not have 10 episode seasons.

They're allegedly filming 3 months later than usual because they want to film in the winter.
My prediction is a June 2017 premiere since they have 3 less episodes to film.

I'd be okay with 3 cheap filler episodes with indoor conversations and no cgi just to get 10 episodes each season

Me too. It sounds like the actors don't even know when they start filming for sure yet.
I hope they just film each season one at a time and not try to Hunger Games it by filming both simultaneously. I don't think they will do that simply because of the actors trying to film other projects besides GoT.
