No cable? What are your credentials for this board then?

It's only been recently. I still watch shows like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Homeland. I either just wait for it on Hulu or buy the episodes for GOT and such from Amazon instant.

Can you get the regular espn games via watch espn? Meaning are there blackouts in Louisiana if LSU is playing on espn?

I have watch espn through my Xbox. I've thought about canceling satellite but don't want to miss LSU football.

That, the walking dead, and some history channel/science channel is the only thing I watch.

Seems like a waste of 90 bucks a month.

I got everything ESPN had. As far as I remember I didn't miss any games that I wanted to watch last year. This includes college and pro. The walking dead is on hulu.

I haven't had cable or satellite for about 6 months now and turned on one of the TV's on the treadmill at the gym. How does everybody watch the crap on TV? Nothing but over exaggerated actors and terrible shows.

If I could stream high quality the golf channel and E! (for the ole lady), I would do this for sure. I would much have only the internet and netflix and just watch other shows via network websites or torrents. Also, I would have to figure out how to teach my GF to do all this shite for her shows, and that would end in a break up.

Don't you have to have an account with an approved cable provider to use WATCHESPN

I like watching TV. I can't ever see me getting to a point where I could cut the cord.

I think we are headed to an On Demand Media Hub world, the only question is who will the gate keepers be.

One of the things I wonder about TV in the future is what will happen to background TV? The house is just too quiet without the TV on, I can't imagine a world without background TV, but I'm also not going to choose a show to put on in the background because if I choose it I have some level of interest in it. How can you channel surf to that perfect show that's worth having on in the background but you also don't care if you miss parts of it? I guess I could switch to music, but I get tired of that in the car, I can't imagine having that on regularly at home too.

The streaming watch espn on the computer has been working for us with our COX account. Great for work in the background.
