Nice! I can't wait for the non-readers to be like "wait, Sam is friends with the zombies???"

hopefully they make him look similar to this guy

that way even if it is Benjen any resemblance would be impossible to tell with the cloth over his face

and looking at this casting article from last year, LINK, i dont think we see oberyn martell at all this season

its possible they just introduce him at some point next season and he tells Tyrion he should request a trial by combat just so he can fight the Mountain

he doesnt need to be at the pruple wedding for that

I feel like next season since there isn't a prologue we may start the season off with an into to dorne and the martells

Back to Patchface...I guess the book readers have now been spoiled by the show. If they don't include Patchface, I guess we can all conclude that he is not important. There has been a lot of theorizing about what, if any, future role he will have. I guess none.

Episode 9 is titled rains of castamere.

Well thats almost spoilerish if this is the RW episode...if they hadn't already used "The North Remembers" I think that would've been a much better title.

Personally I would prefer if they held off on the PW until the first episode of season four that way people leave season three going and go into season four

They're giving his prophecies to shireen and that's the only reason he's important

I never really assumed he was going to be much else other than a vehicle to some prophecies/foreshadowing.

I get it, but people (maybe just me, I don't know) have surmised that Patches would play some "bigger" role in future books. Maybe having something to do with the Drowned God or being a foil to the Lord of Light...IDK

Well frick all of you then...poo pooing my theories

I am not really upset, just know for sure that Patches won't become anything significant in the books.

I've read some of those theories I've never bought into them though. There's just no evidence otherwise

they can always introduce him later, but if thats the case then GRRM obviously didnt mention it to them

i imagine he tells HBO which characters are crucial and which ones aren't

If he does they don't listen. They killed Khal Pono in season one and he shows back up in Dance

Yeah, I actually think they must work together a shitload, given that the books aren't finished. It is critical for the producers to know what the future holds for each of them. For instance, they couldn't just write Willas out if he has some big role to play.

Yeah, but it isn't like he plays some critical role. They can really just use any horselord.
