Probably will be better than 2016.
...but I still don’t like the pivot to Stranger Things-esque tone rather the comedy about schlubby guys attempting to start their own business while dodging government red tape.
(Edit: The pivot to a tone that studio execs think contemporary audiences would find appealing is what ruined the Kelvin Timeline Trek. It results in a movie that betrays the original audience and the new audience will find it too derivative of the contemporary inspiration. So, the cynic in me thinks that if Afterlife pivots too hard towards the Stranger Thing tone, it will alienate both sides of the spectrum.)

I feel like they we’re moving in that direction with GB2.

Just for the hell of it... The 2 best scenes in Ghostbusters.

There’s also the lightning in a bottle aspect of GB1 and the fact Murray is a one-of-kind comedic genius, so why even try to recapture that magic.
(Again, the cynic in me says Murray’s part in Afterlife will be a disappointing cameo...not as disappointing as 2016, but disappointing nonetheless. That seems to be the SOP for Hollywood these days. Advertise Jurassic World 2 as co-starring Goldblum, but be disappointed when he’s only in it for 3 minutes.)

What’s the draw length on that bow and what’re you asking?

It feels like I've been waiting five years for this to come out.
