I think he's trying to find a way for the Show to ignore Snows death for an extended period of time
The show does not have the same advantages of a book does however, and it's impossible

Why ignore Snow's death?

Some are obsessed with the idea that they will find a way to ignore that entire storyline for entire season and bring back Jon Snow the following season so that Kit Harrington isn't a liar to E Weekly and to have a "wow" factor that's literally impossible to have
It's dumb

So, it sounds like we're all at the same point in the Jon Snow story line. The story has yet to be written that explains what happens with Jon Snow. Two more books are scheduled. Are all of the other story lines in the TV show caught up with the books? If not, that seems to be where the focus will be in the next season. Will they spoil the Jon Snow story in the show before the books? Will the books differ from the show? I understand that the show differs in many aspects, but this is a little different. I mean, we're talking about the resurrection of a main character. Surely they wouldn't have this event in the show before the books?
I'm getting mindblown here.

Yes

No. But it's either minor stuff, or stuff that's probably too late to introduce. You can't just jump around to new storylines and ignore Jon's for an entire season, when Jon's storyline is THE most important in the show

Yes unless GRRM pulls the book out of his arse in the next couple months

He'll be revived in both. They might choose a different way to do it. But bes not staying dead in either

Wouldn't be the first thing to get spoiled in the show first
Resurecting main characters isn't a rare thing in the books fwiw

Nope... Varys kills Pycelle and Kevan Lannister in the books.
Bet the Hodors didn't see that coming.

Not sure that'll happen now

I think it'll be different person doing it. Little finger would be the easy guess

Oh, it's gonna happen. It's too good to not have in the show.

Possible but very disappointing if they do that.
We had some foreshadowing with Varys and the sorcerer that wasn't in the books.
That scene alone is why I think it will be Varys who gets his hands dirty.

I think he'll be a little too busy in Mereen to ship off to KL like that. But it's possible
Posted on 6/16/15 at 10:20 pm to wildtigercat93
This is definitely interesting.
I for one can't wait to see how they will handle all of this and how the books will differ from the show. I'll probably go back and read the books now.

I just wouldn't worry about the Show not wanting to pass the books. It's full speed ahead. GRRM knew this when he signed up.

If he does he'll probably sneak back into KL before Dany gets there to kill Pycelle and Kevan. I assume Dany sets off for KL episode 10 of season 6

The show has no problem "teleporting" characters now. Mel made it from Winterfell to castle black in 15 minutes of show time. Not a lot Varys can do in Mereen anyway.

You're an optimist
With the reports now that it's gonna be 8 seasons instead of 7, I say she spend the entirety of next season playing "where's Jorah" until making it back to Mereen in the final episode where Tyrions made everything better
Posted on 6/16/15 at 10:32 pm to wildtigercat93
frick 8 seasons that's true end of season 6
Season 7 she'll do some politicking and season 8 she deals out punishment

I think the show gets out of Mereen ASAP. They probably hate this storyline more than we do.
Posted on 6/16/15 at 10:33 pm to Hugo Stiglitz
They just stuck the most popular character in Mereen, hard to get out now
My biggest fear is that they leave Tyrion to run Mereen for the rest of the series to allow Dany the ability to go to westeros
