It's not every episode that someone posts a theory and another poster contradicts it by saying readers say expect a surprise. Even though the information is not given away, the purity of the surprise is, in fact, spoiled.
Anything that interferes with the natural unaffected enjoyment of the show is a spoiler.

You didn't say "expect a surprise" you said "book readers are hinting at *SPOILERS REDACTED*"
Stop misrepresenting what you posted

It's a shame that some people are so stupid that they need this explained to them.

quote:
melisandre is jon snow's mother
nah, "Jon Snow, Black of Hair"
He is Robert and Cersi's first kid.
Remember episode S1E2, when cersi visits Kat after Brams "fall"?
quote:
I lost my first boy, a little black-haired beauty. He was a fighter too… Tried to beat the fever that took him. Robert was crazed, beat his hands bloody on the wall, all the things men do to show you how much they care. The boy looked just like him. Such a little thing… A bird without feathers. They came to take his body away and Robert held me. I screamed and I battled, but he held me. That little bundle. They took him away and I never saw him again. Never have visited the crypt, never.
Notice the writer references to fighter, black hair, and bird...Jon Snow "Crow"/"Raven"
If you remember, Ned and Robert talk in the same episode. Robert mentions Jon's Mother...and Ned says that "she was one of yours" meaning that it was one of Robert and Cersi's servants. Ned was given Jon by Cersi's maid to protect because Cersi didn't want him and she feared for the child's safety. The Maid knew that Cersi and Jamie were pregnant with child(Joffrey)and they were planning to kill the heir so that a True blood Lannister would be King. Jon and Joffrey are 1 year apart in age.
Casting for " The boy looked just like him"
The Title of the Episode/chapter is named "The King's Road"..this is also the same Episode Jon starts traveling to the Wall.(Jon and Ned Talk)...Hinting, this is the start, Jon's Road to becoming King.
Oh, btw, I've been told that I am way off, but I'm convinced,in a way.

I have my own theory of Jon Snow's parents, but I'm not even going to hint at it, for fear that I'm right.

I thought the same thing for a while, but there's one problem. Why the hell would they do that? To keep Jaime from killing it? I don't think so. There would have been no reason for him to be kept from Robert and Cersei.

Robert thought he died. Cersi wanted him dead, for the Lannister legacy and Jamie. but she couldn't do it herself So so she forced her maid to Kill the kid.
Only the maid knows she'll show up later

The problem with all the Jon Snow theories is finding a way for people to prove who his parents really are.
ETA I really like Kashs theory though. Makes a lot of sense

Cersei is pretty fricked up, but I got no indication that she'd kill her own kid. Not buying it.
But if that maid shite really happens, you might need to get Theon-ed.

Hmmm what the hell did I miss here.

Kashonly thinks Jon Snow is Cersei and Robert's lost son. I can't think of a believable scenario where someone would need to do that.

The other theory of Jon Snow's parents makes more sense IMO.

Too spoilerish for this thread IMO, although it don't believe that anyone knows who Jon Snow's mother is. (Readers or Hodors)

Because if the theory I believe at be right comes to fruition I'm going to be labeled a damn reader, and my head will be on a spike

If it's the theory I saw posted in the Middle Ground thread the other day (it was later retracted) then it isn't really based off of anything shown in the show thus far. At least nothing that I'm aware of. So it's probably best not to discuss it.

I have not seen the theory in that thread, but have read theories online (none of which were proven or necessarily spoiler driven), but I wouldn't feel comfortable posting the theory in a thread of people who may not want that info.

I quit reading that thread. Too risky.
