on ep 3. silly question. if they know the "creatures" only come out at night, why not spend the day turning the tide and hunt the creatures?

sooner or later you have to get tired of being hunted and start being the hunter.

Some I am Legend action. I like it. But I think they are like in some other realm during the day or something.

Yeah it seems like they just aren’t around during the day. Or maybe they are in the cave/mineshaft sort of thing?

I’m also interested in where/how they get food and supplies. They made mention in one of the episodes about “we don’t know where the cows and chickens come from” or something like that. But they never seem to be hurting for food or supplies, so I wonder how that stuff gets replenished.

They couldn't win in a fight, you cant kill them yet it seems or they don't know how, they take bullets like its nothing.

Also after seeing what they do to you when they get you nobody is gonna hunt that .

I'm not a big horror consumer, but usually TV shows billed as "scary" don't deliver. This is not one of those shows. So far I am sufficiently creeped out. The monsters are disturbingly malevolent, and I keep thinking about how at Colony House it only takes one unhinged person to open a door or window, and everyone is dead. It bothered me that they had the kid sleeping near the window, or that they took the teen girl up to the attic window before she fully understood the threat. The show doesn't lack subtle tension.

And I like the idea of burning the forest down, although that might result in losing all your cover if it doesn't compromise the monsters in some way. My guess is the new people will begin a renewed effort to solve the problem, and some of the things we are thinking they should have already tried will be attempted for the show.

Agree with all of that. Especially the kids sleeping. All it takes is for the little boy/son to wake up in the middle of the night and open the door and not even understand what he's doing.

The show is legit.

I hope it takes off on the board and more people watch it so we can discuss.

like the waitress chick.

you basically need do some extreme child proofing. nail every window shut. maybe even board them up from the inside?

put locks on the doors that kids can't reach.

sleep in the same room with the kids and lock the bedroom door so they can't wander off.

I don't know why, but I think they are the crows during the day.

Some good ideas on here. possible tactics...

- burn forest
- hunt crows or other animals
- capture crow (or other animal) and observe it at sunset
- clear forest manually away from town
- build fortress wall around town and put talisman on it
- question longest residents for clues
- try to physically capture a monster with something like a bear trap
- stand by window at night and question monsters since we know they talk to people

This may be stupid, but considering the angle that the monsters are the crows, could they be causing the tree to fall and block the road? I know they aren’t woodpeckers, but still.

I really hope we get answers about some of the mythology of the show. I’m super intrigued about how everyone ends up there from all over the country. It’s not like they all drive through the town and get stuck…they are all pulled into this thing (reality? universe?) no matter where they are driving.
