Just watched half streaming from my living room. Turned it off it sucked so bad.

Yeah its not very good. I cannot believe all the hype surrounding it. It seemed rushed, shallow, void of emotion, and the writing was....just not good. I probably enjoyed it the least of all the marvel movies. I think a lot of it has to do with disney though. Disney just wants money and doesn't want any risks.

No its not, I would maybe go as far as saying it was ok

Yeah man. They have black people doing super hero shite. And they make reference to slavery and oppression.

Us white folk can’t have any of that noise. Boycott this shite.

Right????

That said. The move was good not great. Maybe cracks the top third of Marvel movies.

There were some timeline problems though.

Spoilers:

They made it sound like this happened IMMEDIATELY after his father dies. But wasn’t he running around fighting other super heros at airports and tracking down The winter soldier. Also, where was Cap. He was hiding out in Wakanda in the immediate aftermath of civil war, when this movie supposedly takes place.

It's become clear that some people are going in already loving it without having seen it because of political/racial reasons and others are deciding not to like it without having seen it, for political/racial reasons. Neither attitude seems to have much to do with actual movie watching

100% this.

It takes place AFTER they pursued Zoller in Civil War.

At the end of Civil War:

Black Panther keeps Zoller from killing himself AND basically goes to turn him in.

Bucky/Winter Soldier and Cap go back to Wakanda with him. Last scene is Winter Soldier w/o arm going into cryogenic freezing, and Cap talking to BP saying something like "and you're sure this is alright?".

Cap goes elsewhere that we don't know and BOOM BP movie takes place.

I think they got the timeline right.

I’d prefer not to watch it, but I’m super pumped about infinity wars, so do I absolutely have to see black panther, or what do I need to know that happened in the movie.

Obviously spoilers

If you notice in the trailer there are 3 locations IW primarily takes place in. One of those is Wakanda, fwiw.

the only thing that even remotely has to do with Infinity War is the fact that part of IW takes place in Wakanda

So you haven't been paying attention to how Marvel is trying position Vibranium in the story? Yikes.

They've been hitting us over the head with how it will play a major role in infinity wars
