This came on TV the other day, and I skipped over it. I really want to see it, but not on TV first time. I just think it'll probably lose too much in the editing.
Definitely. Marissa's topless scenes are $$$

Bill Goldberg: Egomaniac. Nice guy, but egomaniac.
No way.
Yes way. Goldberg gave everyone the "no sell" and got pissed in WWE because they didn't automatically put the belt on him. He left because they didn't give him a push like his original streak. If you ever hear him in interviews, he doesn't bash WWE, but he doesn't speak kindly of them either. Plus, the guy is a shitty wrestler. Good entertainer, but only has like 4 moves and can't sell.
And Rock is wrestling 1 match in a year and hasn't wrestled in 5 years. Not exactly painstaking and doesn't have the ridiculous travel schedule. Austin has said time and time again, he feels good right now but he doesn't have the itch to go at it again. He's capable, but doesn't want to tear his body down.

So is Sting an egomaniac?
He left because his contract wasn't renewed.

"The Ram" had to be loosely based on Hulk Hogan i would think especially after seeing that mini series "finding hulk hogan" which was pretty sad since i was a hulkamaniac growing up.
Hogan's life went downhill after the divorce, which was 2 months before production started for "The Wrestler".
Before the Nick Hogan accident and divorce, Hogan was doing pretty well...

No, despite him currently holding the TNA title, he's been willing to push younger stars. And even when he does win, he typically makes his opponent look strong. AJ Styles got a hell of a rub when they last feuded.

He made it clear he wasn't going to sign a contract anyway. He wanted more money and the WWE hadn't received any return on their investment. His heyday was in WCW. He was hot when he came in and put down the Rock when Rock was insulting the crowd and running back to Hollywood. Then, when he finally got past HHH and Evolution, he was completely and utterly boring.

Only for the cameras. His life had been unraveling for a while according to that documentary

That kinda furthers my point, even if it was kept quiet publicly, how could Siegel loosely base the Ram off Hogan?
To everyone not in Hogan's inner circle, he was a moderately wealthy man who had a happy family and had hung up his tights on a full time basis...

I see what you're saying. The timeline is off. The Ram was probably based more off of jake the snake. Its a sad situation for those guys no matter how you look at it though

No doubt, I've met more than a few in the same situation as the Ram had.
The autograph signing in the movie is too true...
