To be fair, that instance was strictly to tie into the Super Powers toy line. FWIW,his figure commands a fairly decent price today.
I don't think he was a leaguer again until maybe justice league unlimited.
And officially a founding member with the nu52 reboot.
Doesn't bother me. He brings both the Iron Man factor and the sidekick factor to the team. The latter part Kyle Rayner fulfilled in the mid-to-late 90s. The newbie fighting alongside titans.
