Lt. Colonel Hal Moore:
I wonder what was going through Custer's mind when he realized that he'd led his men into a slaughter?

Sergeant Major Basil Plumley:
Sir, Custer was a pussy. You ain't.

Saving Private Ryan. Every time I watch the opening scene I realize those are real men. The greatest generation....

In Gettysburg, as the troops get into formation for Pickett’s charge, then Armistead (Richard Jordan) says his prayer, gives his pep talk, and then the men march. Very good tension leading up to the charge, even though you know what’s going to happen.

Also, the 20th Maine’s charge at Little Round Top.

The D-Day sequence in Saving Private Ryan.
A lot of veterans who watched that scene needed to recover from PTSD because it was very accurate.
